Best auto apply tools in 2026: an honest comparison
19 October 2026 · Plumly team
The best auto apply tool depends on where your target jobs are posted and how much control you want. JobCopilot, Tsenta and Plumly apply on employer career pages. LazyApply works through job platforms. Sorce is a swipe app. Scale.jobs uses human assistants. Simplify's free extension fills forms and you press submit; its paid plan adds an auto-apply mode.
We make Plumly, so read this with that in mind. We checked every competitor fact below on the competitor's own pages on 18 October 2026. Where a page did not say something, we say so instead of guessing.

The tools in more detail
JobCopilot
JobCopilot says it applies to jobs from "500,000+ companies worldwide". It says it applies only to "verified jobs on official company career pages". Premium starts at $0.93 a day with 1 copilot and up to 20 matches a day. Elite costs $1.05 a day for 3 copilots and up to 50 matches, plus resume tailoring per application. It suits people who want a steady daily flow from company sites.
AIApply
AIApply is a full toolkit: resume builder, cover letters, interview practice and live interview coaching. Auto-apply is sold as credit packs, "e.g., 100 or 250", and each credit is one application. Its pricing page does not list prices. It suits people who want many job search tools in one account.
LazyApply
LazyApply sells yearly plans by daily volume. Basic is $99 a year for 15 applications a day. Premium is $149 a year for 150 a day, and Ultimate is $999 a year for 1,500 a day. It suits people who want the most applications on boards such as Indeed and ZipRecruiter.

Sorce
Sorce is a phone app: "Apply to jobs by swiping right." Its App Store rating is 4.7 from 36K ratings. It sells credits (25 for $2.99, 100 for $9.99) and passes ($14.99 a week, $39.99 a month). It suits people who search on their phone.

Simplify
Simplify Copilot is a browser extension that "autofills job applications on 100,000+ company career sites in one click". With the free extension, you still open each job and submit it yourself. The paid Simplify+ plan adds Autopilot. Autopilot submits the application for you. Its help page says: "There's no step where you review it first." It suits people who want full control and less typing.
How to choose
1. Start with where your jobs live
Most roles are not behind LinkedIn Easy Apply. Of the open roles in Plumly's job index, 51.7% use Workday and 12.7% use Greenhouse. SmartRecruiters has 8.2%, Workable 5.7%, Ashby 5.6% and Lever 2.0%. Another 9.4% sit on companies' own sites. That is 357,810 roles posted in the last 30 days, at 8,664 companies, as of 18 October 2026.
So ask each tool which application systems it supports. A tool that cannot fill Workday forms misses about half of these roles.
2. Decide how much review you want
Some tools send without asking. Others let you approve each job or each document. If you are early in a search, or changing careers, start with review on. Turn it off once the matches look right.
3. Check the invented-facts risk
An application that claims a skill you lack can cost you the interview. Some users report this. On Trustpilot, one JobCopilot reviewer says the tool "generated false information on my résumé". Ask each tool what it does when it does not know an answer. The safe answer is: it asks you.
4. Know the LinkedIn account risk
LinkedIn says it does not allow browser extensions that automate activity on its website. Its help page says members who use such tools "risk having their accounts restricted or shut down". If a tool automates Easy Apply, that risk falls on your account.
5. Compare pricing models, not just prices
The tools above charge in five ways. LazyApply bills per year and JobCopilot per day. AIApply and Sorce sell credits. Scale.jobs charges one time. Tsenta, Wobo and Plumly bill per month. Work out the cost of the number of applications you will really send. Also check how cancellation works before you pay.
How Plumly fits
Plumly finds new roles from company job boards and career sites. It ranks them against your resume, level and preferred places. It applies on the employer's own form on Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable, Teamtailor, Rippling, BreezyHR, Workday, Personio and Homerun. For other systems, it links you to the employer's page.
Nothing is sent until you choose a mode. In "hands off", Plumly applies to strong matches up to your daily limit (default 10, at most 25). In "in control", you review each job and press Apply.
Plumly never invents facts about you. Answers come from your profile, answers you confirmed, or you. When it is not sure, it asks. It keeps every answer and a picture of each submitted form. On Workday, it can create the job-site account with your own email.
Limits: Plumly does not do LinkedIn Easy Apply. Some employer systems are not supported yet, and some questions need you.
Pricing: Plus is $19 a month for 1,000 applications, and Unlimited is $99 a month. You pay only for applications that are submitted, and you can cancel any time.
Your first 25 applications are free, with no credit card required.
