AIApply alternatives: 6 options by what you need most

20 October 2026 · Plumly team

The right AIApply alternative depends on which part of AIApply you use. For auto-apply on company career pages, look at Plumly, JobCopilot or Tsenta. For tailored resumes and form autofill, Huntr has a free plan. Software engineers can look at ApplyPass. If you want people instead of software, Scale.jobs uses human assistants.

We make Plumly, one of the options below. We checked every competitor fact on the competitor's own pages on 18 October 2026.

What AIApply does well

AIApply is a broad toolkit, not just an auto-apply bot. Its homepage lists an AI resume builder, cover letters "in seconds", interview practice and live coaching during interviews. It also has a resume scanner, a resume translator and a job board.

Many users like it. AIApply has a TrustScore of 4.3 from 2,011 reviews on Trustpilot. Positive reviews say it "saves me time" and is "super easy to use".

Auto-apply works on credits. Its FAQ says "each credit is one job application", and credits "never expire". That suits people who search in bursts.

Why people look for alternatives

The reasons below come from AIApply's own pages and from reviews on Trustpilot. Trustpilot does not fact-check reviews, so treat them as reports, not proof.

Billing and refunds

This is the most common theme in recent negative reviews. Reviewers describe monthly renewals they did not expect. Some say support refused a refund, and one was told they were "outside of the refund window".

Prices are hard to compare

AIApply's pricing page does not list prices. It says Premium is "available monthly or annually" and that auto-apply credits come in packs "e.g., 100 or 250". You see the cost later in the flow. Some reviewers also object to paying a subscription plus separate charges.

Where applications go is not clear

The Auto Apply page says applications are submitted "across supported platforms". It does not name those platforms. If you care whether an application lands on the employer's own form, that is hard to check up front.

Match quality

Some reviewers say auto-apply sent applications that did not fit their qualifications. One says it used up their credits "in hours".

The alternatives in detail

Plumly: when you want to see what was sent

Plumly applies on the employer's own form on 10 systems: Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable, Teamtailor, Rippling, BreezyHR, Workday, Personio and Homerun. It keeps every answer and a picture of each submitted form. Prices are on the public site, and you pay only for submitted applications.

Plumly's job is finding roles and applying to them. If you use AIApply mainly for interview practice or its resume builder, Plumly does not replace that part.

JobCopilot: when you want a set daily flow

JobCopilot says it applies "exclusively" to verified jobs on official company career pages, from "500,000+ companies". Premium is $0.93 a day for up to 20 matches. Elite is $1.05 a day for up to 50, with resume tailoring per application. Both plans let you save applications for review. JobCopilot states it has no free trial.

Tsenta: when you want volume on employer systems

Tsenta watches "50,000+ career pages" across Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and others. Starter is $19 a month for 600 applications, Pro $39 for 1,500, and Power $99 for 4,500. You can approve resume changes before they are sent. The first 25 applications are free, with no card.

Huntr: when you mostly use the resume and cover letter tools

Huntr is not an auto-apply tool. Its free plan includes a job tracker for 100 jobs, 2 tailored resumes and autofills with no cap. Pro costs $40 a month, or $90 a quarter, and removes the caps on tailored resumes and AI cover letters. You still submit each application yourself.

ApplyPass: when you are a software engineer

ApplyPass sells weekly volume with listing freshness. The free plan gives up to 7 applications a week on listings up to 7 days old. Momentum costs $99 a month for 100 a week. Premium costs $199 a month for 400 a week, with visa requirement matching. Its coaching plan is "designed for software engineers".

Scale.jobs: when you want a person on each form

Scale.jobs uses human assistants who "manually fill job applications". You can talk to them in a team chat, and each application comes with a proof screenshot. Plans are one-time payments, from $199 for 250 applications to $1,099 for 1,100.

Questions to ask before you switch

  • Where will my applications be submitted? Most roles live on employer systems. Of the open roles in Plumly's job index, 51.7% use Workday and 12.7% use Greenhouse. Only 9.4% sit on companies' own sites.
  • What happens when the tool does not know an answer? Look for a tool that asks you rather than guessing.
  • Can I see the price before I sign up? Compare the cost of the applications you will really send.
  • How do I cancel? Check this before you enter a card.

How Plumly fits

Plumly is for people who mainly use AIApply for auto-apply and want more control over it. It finds new roles from company job boards and career sites. It ranks them against your resume, level and preferred places.

Nothing is sent until you choose. In "hands off", it applies to strong matches up to your daily limit (default 10, at most 25). In "in control", you review each job and press Apply.

It never invents facts about you. Answers come from your profile, answers you confirmed, or you. Cover letters use only facts from your profile and resume. Each sentence is checked, and a letter that fails the check waits for your review. Work authorization and sponsorship questions use the countries where you said you can work.

Limits: no LinkedIn Easy Apply, some employer systems are not supported yet, and some questions need you.

Pricing: Plus is $19 a month for 1,000 applications. Unlimited is $99 a month. An extra 1,000 applications cost $19 one time. You pay only for submitted applications and can cancel any time.

Your first 25 applications are free, with no credit card required.
